Downhill skiing
Blue Mountain is the best part of living at Blue View.
Watch it change through the seasons right outside your window, and
come winter, hit the greatest ski terrain in the province. Blue's 34
superbly groomed trails are serviced by 12 lifts including 4
high-speed express lifts.

A number of private ski clubs operate along the same
stretch of the Niagara Escarpment, giving you a wealth of downhill
opportunities.
And you'll stay in tune, with numerous ski retailers
and pro shops nearby.
Cross Country Skiing
The rolling hills and dramatic terrain of the Niagara
Escarpment make it a cross-country paradise. Within 10 to 20 minutes,
you can be skiing at:
Kolapore Uplands -- 50 km
of wilderness trails in a ruggedly beautiful nature preserve. The
southern section offers flatter terrain for novice skiers, while much
of the area provides scenic intermediate and expert trails.

Highlands Nordic --
Groomed daily for classic and skating, the trails wind through maple
bush and rolling hills with panoramic views of Georgian Bay. The
resort offers cafeteria, washrooms, proshop, repair shop, rentals and
waxing area.

recreational loop for the family. This is just a sampling of area

Other winter activities
Take your pick... Tubing, Tobogganing, Snowmobiling,
Skating, Curling, Snowshoeing, Ice fishing, Dog sledding

Golf
Lush, dramatic and scenic, Monterra is a top 10
Canadian Resort Course. And the second fairway lies right across the
road from your chalet. The course was designed by Tom McBroom with
bent-grass fairways rolling toward greens guarded by tricky sandtraps
-- 76 of them. Add razorback mounding, plunging ravines, and
deceptively picturesque ponds, and you're in for some serious golf.

Monterra offers indoor tennis on five Omni courts open
year-round. Join in on Monterra's ongoing round robin tournaments or
request your own match.
Mountain Biking
The same terrain that gives the area so much great
skiing makes it perfect for mountain biking. You'll find challenging
double- and single-track at Kolapore Uplands, Three Stages in the
Pretty River Valley, Hardwood Hills, Loree Forest, Meaford Range Road,
and in the hills surrounding your Blue View Chalet. To help you make
the most of your time on the trails, Blue Mountain offers an Adventure
Mountain Bike School from May till the end of season.
Hiking
For easy strolls, a network of walkways and cycle
paths winds through the Blue Mountain area, starting right outside
your door. The Georgian Trail follows an old railway line from
Collingwood to Meaford. And of course, there's the Bruce Trail. Access
it at any number of points in the area for dramatic views of Georgian
Bay, hikes along rugged cliffs, and meanderings through rolling hills
and apple orchards.

Water, water everywhere
A Georgian Bay beach is yours within minutes. Nearby
you can swim, windsurf or boat, or just laze along the sandy
shoreline. The area is famous for its fishing in the lake and local
rivers. In spring and fall, white water challenges canoes and kayaks.
Shopping and dining
Along the winding roads, you'll find great
restaurants, country inns and specialty shopping. Or head into
Collingwood, Thornbury or Meaford for even more choice.
